Changelog

What has changed

Every release, newest first. Anything that changes what you see or what you can do is written up here; the rest — the plumbing — is not.

This log covers the current Fridgedoor web application, first built in April 2022 and substantially rebuilt over August and September 2026. Earlier versions of Fridgedoor predate it. The years between were quieter, and are grouped into periods rather than listed release by release.

  1. 2 changes

Your branding on the booking page

The page your customer opens can now be made yours — logo, cover image and colour — without asking us to do it.

    • new Set your logo, cover image and theme colour for the customer booking page from your own settings.
    • improved The booking screens are grouped in the sidebar, and only one group opens at a time.

  2. 4 changes

Plans, reports and a safer sign-in

Account administration you can do without asking us, and a session that is harder to steal.

    • new Payment plans are managed directly, and a plan is chosen from the real list rather than typed in.
    • new Sort any list by clicking its column heading, and find every report under one menu.
    • improved Closing an account deactivates it and keeps its history, instead of deleting it.
    • fixed Signed-in sessions carry stronger protection against being read or reused from another site.

  3. 3 changes

The inbox keeps itself up to date

New messages arrive on their own, and setting up a sending domain finally tells you what went wrong.

    • new The enquiries queue refreshes itself when something lands.
    • improved A failed domain verification says which record is wrong, and retrying genuinely retries.
    • fixed An inbound email could be rejected in an uncommon case instead of reaching the queue.

  4. 5 changes

Replies, templates, and your own time format

The reply composer rebuilt, and dates that read the way you write them.

    • new The reply composer is rebuilt: write, quote the original message, and send without leaving the thread.
    • new Date and time format is a preference, set per person and per organisation.
    • fixed Timestamps, replies, message bodies and search in the inbox each had a defect of their own.
    • fixed Deleting one block in an email template could remove others with it.
    • fixed Email templates and their addresses are visible only to the organisation that owns them.

Mail from someone not yet on your list stops being a dead end.

    • new An email from an address you have never written to opens an enquiry of its own.
    • improved Searching the inbox no longer slows down as your template library grows.
    • fixed An email that arrived for one organisation cannot be reassigned to another.

Paging through everything that grows, a consistent icon set, and five repairs to sending.

    • improved The inbox, runs, suppressions and unsubscriptions all page properly.
    • improved Screen controls use a consistent icon set, and inbox search sits ahead of the view toggle.
    • new A banner shows when someone from Fridgedoor is signed in as you to help with a problem.
    • fixed Re-running a campaign could re-send to a whole group.
    • fixed A send that failed could be reported as delivered, and a message that already went could go twice.
    • fixed A slow reply from a message carrier no longer holds a send open indefinitely.

    • new Booking preferences are a builder beside a live preview.

  10. 4 changes

A console you can link into

Every screen has a real address, so a link to one is a link someone else can open.

    • new Every screen has its own web address, and the browser's back button works.
    • new Locations gained a detail view of their own.
    • improved Screen actions moved into the top bar, in one place on every screen.
    • improved Permission checks are enforced on the screen itself, not only by hiding the button.

  11. 4 changes

Inbound email that does not lose anything

A fortnight of work on the one part of the system a customer notices only when it fails.

    • fixed An email addressed to several of your addresses at once is stored for every recipient.
    • fixed A message delivered twice is recorded once.
    • fixed One undeliverable recipient no longer takes the rest of the message down with it.
    • improved Inbound mail keeps working under a burst, and a restart no longer drops a message mid-delivery.

  12. 3 changes

An activity trail on the account

Who did what, and when, kept for as long as your organisation needs it.

    • new An activity log you can read, covering sign-ins and changes to your email and SMS templates.
    • new Retention is measured per organisation from your own last activity.
    • fixed The activity log never records a password, and the billing report counts SMS units rather than rows.

Open signup is gone, and a registered interest becomes a configured account.

The change that made Fridgedoor fit a business with more than one front door.
